She-EO by Ganeeyah

Women on Purpose

We are a global network of women of African descent deeply committed to personal growth, leadership and community development. She-EO is a proud partner of Impact Africa Inc., a Section 501c3 tax exempt organization in the United States of America.

Our Mission:

Empower.

By creating safe spaces for conversations that matter, we give women of African descent essential tools to “push past pains,” which stand on their path to becoming change makers at home, work, and in communities in Africa and the diaspora. At She-EO, we think globally while tackling local challenges.

Our Vision

A peaceful, secure and inter-connected world where women of African descent have unobstructed access to leadership opportunities, and in which Africa (including Africa’s 6th region, the diaspora) is an independent, socio-economic powerhouse.

Our Impact

We could display nice and colorful charts with fancy statistics to convince you that we have (and continue to) make impact, but we wouldn’t do that. Instead, we will let you judge our impact by reading the words of some of our She-EOs themselves.

The November session touched me in ways that I am still discovering…The session had so many nuggets and I am filled with gratitude to have been able to share this with you and all the sisters – Osai, Nigeria.

“I attended the first SHE-EO held in Maryland, and it was powerful. We were asked to stand up and let go of our worries. I immediately started crying uncontrollably that I had to take a break. I didn't know how much I was holding on to. SHE-O was the place that provided a safe space for me to grieve and acknowledge loss. I am forever grateful.” – Anonymous

10+

years impacting communities

The journey began when Tope signed up as a volunteer to teach finance to women through Empowered Women International in 2012. In 2013, she launched Impact Africa, first a radio program, and later a video broadcast, to inspire Africans to participate actively in Africa’s development. While studying at the University of Oxford in October 2014, Tope began imagining a platform for women of African descent to tackle obstacles to growth and development. She named the it She-EO.. The first She-Eo took place in Columbia Maryland in August of 2017.

Our Programs

IMPACTFUL Gatherings

Impactful Gatherings are the cornerstone of She-EO’s mission. Through carefully curated segments, which feature experts and battle tested women (and men) on “She-EO hot seats,” every She-EO Experience creates a safe platform for sharing deeply personal experiences with authenticity and vulnerability.

In addition to our signature “She-EO Experience,” we organize regular sisters circles, village meetings, and customized programs for young She-EOs, and Sisters in Food production, Agriculture, Alternative energy and Public service (SiFAAP).
