About The She-EO

We believe leadership is the most powerful force for lasting change.

The She-EO exists to equip leaders with the knowledge, networks, and confidence to create stronger businesses, stronger institutions, and stronger communities.

We believe that meaningful change does not happen through isolated acts of generosity or one-time events. It happens when people are equipped to lead with integrity, think entrepreneurially, manage resources wisely, and create opportunities for others.

Founded on the conviction that leadership is service, The She-EO brings together emerging and established leaders across Africa and the global diaspora to learn, collaborate, and solve real-world challenges. Through leadership development, entrepreneurship, mentoring, executive learning, and strategic partnerships, we are building a community of people committed to creating lasting impact in their families, workplaces, and communities.

Our work spans sectors because the world’s greatest challenges do not exist in silos. We believe that business, education, agriculture, finance, health, and social impact are deeply interconnected. By bringing together diverse voices and experiences, we help leaders develop practical solutions that strengthen both people and institutions.

At The She-EO, we believe leadership is measured not by titles or influence, but by the opportunities we create for others to flourish. Every program we design, every partnership we build, and every conversation we facilitate is guided by a simple question:

How can we equip today’s leaders to build a better tomorrow?

Whether you are launching a business, leading a nonprofit, advancing your career, pursuing higher education, shaping public policy, supporting your community, or simply seeking to grow as a leader, you belong here.

Together, we are cultivating leaders who think boldly, act with purpose, and leave behind stronger institutions than they inherited.

Our Mission

To equip current and emerging leaders with the knowledge, relationships, and opportunities they need to create sustainable social and economic impact across Africa and the global diaspora.

Our Vision

A world where principled, entrepreneurial leaders build thriving communities, resilient institutions, and inclusive economies that enable future generations to flourish.

Our Values

Think Globally. Act Locally.
We embrace diverse perspectives while empowering leaders to create meaningful change within their own communities.

Leave a Legacy
Our goal is not simply to solve today’s problems but to build institutions, systems, and leaders that will continue creating impact for generations to come.

How it all started

It all began with a day dream in a classroom at the University of Oxford in 2014. While waiting for a session to begin, Tope Fajingbesi began imagining how powerful and impactful a similarly purposeful gathering of women of African descent would be. The ideas began to flow, and she eagerly scribbled them down! She dreamed about creating a safe platform to break barriers and speak truthfully about obstacles that keep women from thriving. The ideas were great, however, execution wouldn’t happen until the first She-EO on August 19th, 2017. But once the train left the station on that beautiful Fall day in August, there was no stopping the movement. A global mission was born!

Power. Purpose. Possibility.
