About
She-EO is a safe platform for women of African descent to have important conversations that matter. Primarily using experience sharing, a powerful learning strategy, She-EO empowers its audience to build resilience, and surmount obstacles to personal growth. In addition, She-EO is building a strong (global) network of women who participate actively in Africa’s development through empowering women from low income and other socially disadvantaged communities.
Mission
To build safe platforms for women of African descent to have important conversations that matter. And to facilitate personal growth, community development, and leadership opportunities for women within Africa and the diaspora.
In short, we are on a mission to place women of African descent on top of the better world we seek to create.
Vision
A more peaceful and secure inter-connected world, where women of African descent have unrestricted access to leadership opportunities, and in which Africa is an economic powerhouse.
Programs
Sisters in food and agriculture {SIFA}
–
SIFA creates personal, business and leadership development programs for “Sisters in Food Security and Agriculture.” In addition to providing a lifelong learning platform for women of African and Caribbean descent in the food and agriculture sector, we produce programs, which educate our growing audience about the contribution of black women to the Agriculture sector. Starting in 2023, we intend to facilitate programs, which will build bridges, which will connect women in this critical sector in the U.S. with their counterparts in Africa for mutually beneficial partnerships.
impact africa
–
Impact Africa, which evolved from a similarly named radio program hosted by She-EO Founder, Tope Fajingbesi from 2013 to 2015, is a mentoring and microfinance program primarily targeted at young college educated women living in Africa. While the Impact Africa radio program was created to inspire Africans in the diaspora to participate actively in the continent’s development, the new Impact Africa program will add on a “cohort program,” which will be a platform for She-EO members (and our sponsors) mentor a cohort of 10-20 women every year.
IMPACTFUL gatherings
–
Impactful Gatherings are the cornerstone of She-EO’s mission. Through carefully curated segments, which allow experts, and battle tested women (and men) to share personal experiences with authenticity and vulnerability, She-EO gatherings provide a safe platform for women of African descent to have important conversations that matter. We provide women with effective psychological tools that empower them to surmount obstacles, which inhibit their growth at work, home and in their communities. She-EO gatherings have been held in Nigeria, the U.K., and the USA since 2017.
publications
–
In addition to a quarterly e-magazine featuring interviews with She-EO members, and stories of struggles, challenges, triumphs and breakthroughs submitted anonymously by members; we will establish “She Did That!” an electronic directory showcasing skills, capabilities and talents of She-EO members who are not entrepreneurs. The directory will also showcase businesses and initiatives led/owned by She-EO members and sponsors all around the world.
